Where Very Good Mind Fits In
Confidence, attention, or access to what someone knows they can do may shift after an injury, loss, frightening experience, prolonged stress, or something much older.
Very Good Mind works in this territory. EMDR allows us to look at experiences and responses that may still be influencing the present, including when the connection between what happened and what is happening now is not immediately obvious.
A referral does not have to mean that the work already happening should stop. In many cases, specialized therapy can address one part of a larger picture while the relationships and expertise already supporting that person remain important.
Knowing when another kind of work may be useful is part of seeing the whole picture.
