Clarity changes performance.

Hi there,

You don’t come to this work because everything is easy.

Most of the people I work with are used to performing at a high level. They are athletes, competitors, and high performers who know what they’re capable of. But something isn’t lining up. Pressure shows up at the wrong time. Confidence drops when it matters most. Or their body doesn’t respond the way it used to.

That’s where I work.

I specialize in working with athletes and high performers who want to move past what’s getting in the way of their performance.

That might look like:

  • struggling under pressure in competition
  • difficulty recovering after injury
  • sudden drops in confidence
  • mental blocks or inconsistent performance
  • overthinking during key moments
  • feeling stuck despite strong ability

This isn’t about becoming someone different. It’s about removing what’s interfering so you can perform the way you already know you can.

How I Practice

Precision Recovery for High Stakes.

My work is grounded in EMDR, a structured, evidence-based approach that helps the brain and nervous system process experiences that haven’t fully resolved.

In performance settings, those experiences often show up as pressure responses, hesitation, or patterns that don’t make sense logically but feel automatic in the moment.

We don’t spend time trying to “think” your way out of that.

We work directly with the patterns themselves, so your system can shift in a way that actually holds under pressure.

I approach this work in a straightforward, grounded way.

No scripts. No performance. No trying to force anything to happen.

The people I work with are often already disciplined, driven, and self-aware. What they need isn’t more effort. It’s a different kind of work that actually moves something underneath the surface.

That’s what I focus on.

Robert Engle is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Certified EMDR therapist providing virtual EMDR therapy across Florida. If you’re looking for a way to move past what’s getting in the way of your performance, a conversation is a simple place to start.

For therapists & practice owners

Alongside clinical work, I’m a private practice coach. I help therapists expand their impact with ethical marketing, pricing and packaging, caseload balance, EMDR integration, and systems that protect both outcomes and wellbeing. If you’re a clinician seeking support, ask about coaching availability.

What clients often notice

  • Calmer baseline and fewer “set-offs”
  • Better sleep: fall asleep faster, stay asleep, wake steadier
  • Fewer unwanted memories and less edge/anxiety
  • More focus and follow-through (with less self-criticism)
  • Clearer communication, boundaries, and confidence at home and work
  • More consistent performance under pressure, and more enjoyment doing it

We Are Very Good.
