EMDR for Trauma, Anxiety, ADHD & High Performance
Florida Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) • MH22765

Hi there!
I’m Robert. I help adults move past anxiety, insomnia, ADHD overwhelm, and performance blocks so you can think clearly, feel steady, and show up at your best on the field, on stage, at work, and at home.
Many of my clients are athletes, creatives, entrepreneurs, and fellow helpers who are tired of pushing through stress or self-criticism. If you’ve felt “wired and tired,” lost your edge after an injury or setback, or noticed relationships straining under pressure, we’ll build a plan to get your body and mind back in sync.

How I Practice
Bottom-up + top-down (in plain English)
I use EMDR Therapy (bottom-up) to help your body stop reacting to old stress as if it’s happening now. Then I add CBT and practical tools (top-down) to update unhelpful thoughts and habits, especially for ADHD. You’ll leave sessions with clear goals, visible progress, and simple tools to use between sessions. The aim is change that holds up under lights, deadlines, and stress.
Performance, creativity & momentum
If you’re a high performer, you’ve probably heard some version of: “Get over it.” “Just get it done.” “Grind harder.” “Stop overthinking.” “Be tougher.” “Shake it off.” “Next play.” Those lines can push results for a day, but they don’t solve performance anxiety, the yips, stage fright, creative block, or imposter syndrome.
Here’s what we’ll do instead: we’ll use EMDR to clear the hidden barriers that hijack focus at the worst moments (post-injury nerves, bad memories, fear of failure or judgment). Then we’ll add CBT + simple routines, a clear pre-game plan, quick reset you can do in seconds, and focus cues that hold under pressure. When your body is calm and your mind has a plan, flow returns and you can just play, create freely, deliver under pressure, and actually enjoy it again.
ADHD, men’s work & relationships
With adult ADHD, we replace chaos with simple scaffolds for planning, transitions, and follow-through without shame or busywork. I also work closely with men on anger or shutdown, intimacy and communication, fatherhood stress, and the quiet loneliness that can sit under “I’m fine.”
Expect practical steps that improve partnership, parenting, and self-respect alongside relief from anxiety and irritability.
Sleep and steadier days
Poor sleep makes everything harder. We’ll find what sets off the body alarm at night and rebuild a straightforward evening routine so falling asleep, staying asleep, and waking steady becomes normal again.
